Endurance.

Homily for July 14, 2017

Today, Jesus describes the challenges of mission. It is like sheep moving in the midst of wolves. We are bound to face attacks from different corners and would often be tempted to give up.

However, in other for us to succeed, we would be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. The serpent is used as an analogy for wisdom because of the way and manner it operates, it is difficult to kill.

And like doves, we must be truly innocent; free from sin, free from blame and Godly minded

In the midst of the hostility we find around us, our endurance like Joseph whose family reunited with him eventually will see us through.

Let us pray: Lord Jesus, the road is hard and tough but I trust you will lead me through. Amen.

*Be Happy. Live Positive. Have Faith. It is well with you. God bless you. (Friday of the 14th week in Ordinary Time. Year A. Bible Study: Genesis 46:1-7, 28-30 and Matthew 10:16-23).*
